Get famous in the latest Sims 3 expansion

If you’ve always fancied being able to lead your Sim to fame and fortune, the forthcoming Showtime expansion for the PC and Mac versions of The Sims 3 is probably going to be of interest. In it, you’ll “venture into a new world and live the dream as singers, acrobats, magicians and DJs”, which is surely what every starry-eyed youngster desires.
Wait a second … acrobats? Aside from Cirque du Soleil, who the hell becomes famous for being an acrobat? How very odd.
Anyway, curious choice of professions aside, Showtime will include an “all-new SimPort feature”
“the opportunity to post Sims’ successes, share gameplay techniques, create wishlists and send gifts, search for new friends and share memories through in-game news feeds and e-cards.”
Have a look at some screenshots, below (including one of those infamous acrobats and a really worried looking DJ). The Sims 3: Showtime is due for release in March 2012. You’ll need a copy of The Sims 3 to run it.
