No, it’s not the much speculated upon update that will ‘fix’ Mass Effect 3’s ending, but this ‘Rebellion’ pack should give multiplayer a little boost of activity. As before, this DLC will be free to anyone who redeemed an ‘online pass’ for Mass Effect 3 (which, if you’re playing in multiplayer, you probably did).
Here’s what you get for your zero dollars or pounds.
Six new characters:
Vorcha Soldier
Vorcha Sentinel
Male Quarian Engineer
Male Quarian Infiltrator
Ex-Cerberus Vanguard
Ex-Cerberus Adept
Plus two new maps (Firebase Jade and Firebase Goddess) and a few new weapons; the Reegar Carbine Shotgun, Krysae Sniper Rifle and Cerberus Harrier Assault Rifle.
‘Rebellion’ should be available to download from today through Origin (PC), Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. That may vary slightly according to region.
The title will also receive a fresh patch (1.03) for PC (from today) and consoles (from 31 May). For a full list of changes, have a look over this way.
