Google Celebrates Pac-Man’s 30th

In honour of Pac-Man’s 30th birthday anniversary, Google has a fully playable version of the dot-munching classic in place of its usual logo.

Do we really need to link to Google’s homepage? Oh, ok then.

Not only is the game/logo fully playable, it also has authentic sound. Use the cursor keys to stay alive and astound your friends by making wakka-wakka-wakka noises for the rest of the day.

Google isn’t the only place celebrating Pac-Man’s big day, of course. As we reported last week, Swindon’s Museum of Computing will be holding a weekend of events in honour of the yellow icon.
