Guild Wars 2 beta weekend coming in late April

If you’re the lucky owner of a Guild Wars 2 beta key (either through pre-ordering the game, or as a one-off from giveaways like PAX East), you’ve probably been champing at the bit for news of when you’ll actually have access to the game.
Well, the wait is (soon to be) over as ArenaNet has fired up the twitter-machine to declare that the first beta weekend will begin on 27 April and carry through to 29 April. “We will let you know once the client is ready to download”, the message adds.
Indeed, a full blog post about the forthcoming beta is scheduled to pop up on ArenaNet’s site in the near future.
