Half Life writer Marc Laidlaw has left Valve

The PC gaming world continues to wait for news on Half Life 3 but hopes of more information have been dampened a little today after it was confirmed that Half Life series writer Marc Laidlaw has left Valve.

Reddit user TeddyWolf took it upon himself to track down Mark to find out if there was any update on Half Life 3 development only to discover Marc has now left Valve. Marc also cites personal reasons for leaving Valve and confirmed his departure in the email correspondence you see below. This has now been confirmed as legitimate.

With Marc having now departed we are still none the wiser as to what is happening, if anything, with Half Life 3.
