This afternoon publisher Infernum revealed that they’ll bring the mental looking shooter Hazard Ops to gamers later this year. Powered by the Unreal Engine 3.5, this online title has been developed by Yingpei Games (previously Epic Games China).

Hazard Ops is set in the early 21st century where security has been handed over to two private military agencies, the IMSA who want power and money, and the ICF who are doing everything they can to stop the dastardly plans of the IMSA.

It all sounds rather predictable until you realise that this is not soldiers versus soldiers, there’s zombies, monsters, robots, mutants, mummies, and just about every monster creation possible to fight. It all sounds a bit odd but when you watch the video below you’ll probably might get excited. The game comes with co-op missions, competitive matches and even monster hunting. With over the top monsters there’s also bound to be insane weapons to mess with.

Infernum CEO Andreas Weidenhaupt has this to say about the publishing deal.

“As soon as I heard about this title, I knew: This much insane gaming fun and hard-core action just has to find its way to Europe! We are proud that Yingpei Games have entrusted us with their product, and we are confident that Hazard Ops will become a success story. And I’m already looking forward to the day when the first players experience their very own “WTF?!” moments.“

In the US the game is being called “Zombies Monsters Robots”, perhaps they think they need to dumb down the name for our American cousins. The US version will be published by En Masse Entertainment.

Expect the game to arrive in the third quarter of this year and you can follow updates on the official site which is now live.
