Hopefully won’t suck: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 screens sparkle

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 - 01

Alucard: taking “bishounen” to new heights since 1989.

Much like Dracula’s eternal cycle of death and rebirth, Castlevania has been reinvented a whole bunch of times. With Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 lurching ever closer to its inevitable release from the grave, Konami figured it was high time to release 20,000 screenshots at us. Or 18 screenshots. It’s closer to 18.

I’ll say right now that these screenshots will probably spoil the first game, so you may want to hurry up and finish the original if you plan on picking this up.

Anyway: this time around, we’re playing as Dracula and will be able to saaaack the blaaaaahd of our enemies. Apparently Satan’s back and causing all sorts of problems, so it’s up to our fanged friend to make a pact with Death and try to stop the cloven-footed wag.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is due out this winter, presumably on a dark and stormy night.
