With the release of the HTC Vive coming at some point early next year, some of you may be wondering how it’s going to work and how much room you’ll need to set it up.

A new video from Hover Junkers developer StressLevelZero shows that you’ll need a surprisingly small amount of space to use the device with all its movement tracking capabilities.

StressLevelZero appear to have spent a lot of time developing Hover Junkers around any limitations the Vive has. They’ve really thought about cable positioning, room size, movement in-game and other tricky hurdles that need to be overcome to make the experience enjoyable.

Cables are real pain on any VR system so it’s great to see developers thinking hard about how to get around the problem. The ideal solution is some kind of overhead rig as we’ve seen on devices such as the Cyberith Virtualizer.

In case you’ve never heard of Hover Junkers (see official site), it’s a game that’s being designed specifically for VR and is described as a multiplayer flying fort combat game where junk hunters scavenge for scrap and loot. It will also be coming to Early Access.

Watch the video below, and if you’re really worried about how much space you have at home, then follow the instructions at the end of the video and they’ll offer up some advice.
