In five months you’ll be playing Syndicate

Recently announced shooter coming Feb 2012.
It’s being reported that Syndicate, EA’s remake of Bullfrog’s 1993 cyberpunk tactical-shooter, will be released on 21 February of next year in North America and three days later on 24 February in Europe.
The project was only revealed earlier this month, EA’s marketing machine describing it as a game in which “players take on the role of Miles Kilo, Eurocorp’s latest prototype agent, and embark on an epic action adventure full of corruption and revenge.”
Syndicate will take place in 2069, a world in which players can make use of Deus Ex style body augmentations to affect the world around them:
“Through DART 6 bio-chip technology implanted in their head, players can slow down time and breach the digital world around them to take down their foes using a variety of upgradable hacking mechanics.”
Not everyone seems impressed, though. Concepts shown to Sean Cooper, a member of the original Bullfrog development team, hardly filled him with excitement: “I don’t think [EA] really understand what the original game was.”
