The retail release for the Oculus Rift headset has been scheduled for early 2016, so now seems like a good time to gauge the IncGamers readership’s views on virtual reality gaming.
There’s hype a-plenty about VR across the media, but media coverage can sometimes mistake its own enthusiasm for that of a broader public trend. One way to find out for sure is to ask people. So that’s what we’re doing.
Our newest poll asks whether you’ll be hopping aboard (or … under, I suppose) the Oculus Rift headset when it’s available in 2016. The question is fairly straightforward: “Do you have plans to get one?”
Four different responses are available. If you’re champing at the bit for Oculus’ device, you can answer “I can’t wait to get one.” For those who are feeling more cautious, the response “I’ll wait for more details on weight, resolution and other specs” should suit.
People who have a different headset in mind can use the option “I’m keen on VR, but I don’t think Oculus Rift is the answer,” and readers who don’t care for VR can opt for “Not interested at all.”
The poll is available below, and on our right-hand sidebar in the usual place. It’ll run for the next few days, and a round-up results will go up after the poll is concluded.
