inXile’s not-sequel to Torment will hit Kickstarter on 6 March

Torment: Tides of Numenera

When you’ve already got one Kickstarter project funded and well underway (in the shape of Wasteland 2,) why not go for a second? And why not attempt to follow-up one of the greatest RPGs ever written: Planescape: Torment.

That’s the rather risky move being made by inXile Entertainment, who will launch a fresh Kickstarter for Torment: Tides of Numenera (see our previous news post for the reasoning behind that name and the lack of the Planescape license) on 6 March.

In order to drum up support, inXile have drafted in Chris Avellone (who wrote the majority of the original Torment and has been doing a little work on Wasteland 2 as well,) to explain why this is a project worth supporting. Watch below, for some hot post-it note action and a summary of the current inXile team members who also did fine work on Planescape: Torment.

He says ‘fuck’ a couple of times, so maybe don’t watch it at work with the speakers on full. Or do, and see what happens!
