Ninja Theory and Namco Bandai’s console-only retelling of Journey to the West, cleverly named Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, appears to be getting a PC release.

Journey to the West is the story of Sun Wukong, who… you know what? It’s Monkey. Everybody knows Monkey. And if they don’t, they should. Enslaved gives everything a sci-fi action-adventure twist, with the titular Monkey (played by Andy Serkis) forced to escort a technically-savvy young girl named Trip back to her village, 300 miles to the west, by duffing up evil robots along the way.

Word of the PC version comes from Polygon, who were told by Namco Bandai that Enslaved will be getting a Premium Edition re-release on PC and PS3 later this month. The original game was well-received on launch although it didn’t sell marvellously; let’s hope that the PC version does a bit better.

The video below is definitely not from Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.
