Infinity Ward has defended its pricing strategy for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package.

In an interview with NowGamer, IW community man Robert Bowling insisted that the DLC is worth the 1200 MS Points price tag.

“I have no doubt that anyone who downloads this map pack is going to get their money’s worth,” said Bowling.

“They’re going to feel their investment is worthwhile. Because if you’re playing Modern Warfare 2 like myself or many other people do every night, that’s actually going to give you a bunch of new mileage and a bunch of extra gameplay – to really explore and discover them and to really, you know, come up with new tactics and experience them in a whole new way.

Regardless of what the price is you’re going to feel your money’s well-spent.”

The Stimulus Package adds three new maps to the multiplayer game – Salvage, Storm and Bailout – as well as two favourites form Modern Warfare, Crash and Overgrown.

Bowling also revealed that more DLC is incoming (as if you hadn’t guessed already) although its “direction” is yet to be determined.

The Stimulus Package is due for release on 30 March on Xbox LIVE, with PS3 and PC releases set to follow. Check out the maps in action in the trailer here.
