Jagex launch 8Realms closed beta

Runescape devs kick off beta for their new strategy game.
8Realms is a settlement constructing game that takes place through the ancient, feudal, renassaince, imperial, industrial, modern and future ages of human history. The beta features all but the future age.
The key feature of the game is to build your civilisation alongside the borders of other players who are doing the same, creating a “highly political” in which negotiations and alliances must be set-up and worked through carefully.
Unsurprisingly, for a Jagex game, 8Realms is browser based and the smart money is on the fact that it’s going to be free to play.
