NeoCore’s Orsolya Tóth has been sat in front of a camera and asked nicely by publishers Paradox to talk about the changes players will see in King Arthur II – including much larger battles.
The Arthur sequel will apparently be making use of a new, internally-developed engine allowing for battles of “up to three or four thousand soldiers.” It’s been a while since I dipped into the first game, but I don’t recall my armies exceeding one thousand men in that title.
Other new features are promised, including a greater emphasis on the RPG aspects of the campaign map (which will be twice as big as in the first game) and a larger range of tactics to apply on the battlefield, thanks to those same RPG aspects. Expect the spellcasting system to be tweaked too, with players being able to apply more defenses against those pesky wizards.
