There’s a full Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain preview show scheduled for 11am Pacific, but Konami appears to have revealed some big PC news ahead of time. As Hideo Kojima has often indicated, it looks a lot like Metal Gear Solid V (along with Ground Zeroes) will be PC-bound.

Update: Yep, it’s now confirmed.

The apparent early reveal was spotted by Neogaf, and you should still be able to see it for yourself if you follow this link. It’s the box over on the right hand side with the headline “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes coming to Steam.” Update: Looks like Konami took it down for now. The image above gives you an idea though.

Sadly, the news piece itself doesn’t exist yet (or has been taken down,) so only the Gamescom event will be able to confirm things like release dates. The little preview box cuts off just before it mentions the release period. Frustration!

We’ve been hearing that Metal Gear Solid V is being “basically developed on PC” since as far back as E3 2013, so it’s not a huge surprise to have this confirmed. Ground Zeroes is a nice little bonus though. Konami may decide to bundle the two together.

So, that’s GTA V, Ryse, Dead Rising 3, The Division, and (99% certain) Metal Gear Solid V all confirmed for the PC in the past few months. Destiny is one of the few from the E3 2013 group to hold out (for now.)
