Left 4 Dead 2 Authoring Tools Released

Valve has announced it will be releasing the official campaign authoring tools and add-on support. The release of these tools will mean players will be able to create custom campaigns to play, pretty good fun if you’re a L4D2 fan. Those of you who are interested in creating your own levels, then you’ll need to download both authoring tools and add-on support. According to Valve, the whole package is very similar to that of the first game, but there are some new features including Gamemode Logic; which changes the map depending on the game mode, Director Logic; which changes the behaviour of the AI director and a Scavenge Mode Support pack. For players who aren’t that interested in designing levels, but are more interested in playing games their mates have made, then you’ll need to install the add-on support package only. You can access them via Steam right here.So modders, that’s your present from Valve. Make sure you get it downloaded, and why not come back to us with your designs? If we get enough entries (15) we’ll run a competition for the best mod and send the winner a little something something. Comment below if you’re interested!
