Loot Drop’s Ghost Recon: Commander project axed

John Romero’s Loot Drop studio has declared that the Facebook title Ghost Recon: Commander has been cancelled. It was intended to be a isometric strategy game styled after the Ubisoft series of games but now, according to a posting by Loot Drop on Facebook, will not see release.

“As a result, we laid off a team of awesome developers. If you have openings, especially in SF, ping me, or add your info after this post,” the rather sad message reads.

It’s not been a great couple of weeks for Loot Drop in terms of getting games out there. The Brenda Brathwaite/Tom Hall helmed Kickstarter project for an ‘old school RPG’ named Shaker was also shelved recently.
