Shining Rock Software has announced the release date for the Medieval city builder sim Banished.
Developed by Luke Hodorowic, this is one game we’ve been really looking forward to getting our hands on. The release date has now been set as 18 February , a little later than the expected date of some time in January
Acorrding to Luke the slight delay has been down to the fact he wanted to take a break over the holidays so testing has been a little slower than initially planned.
Today Luke announced that the game was now “content complete” and that the game is “done”. He goes on to say:
“Ah, I remember when I quit my job and thought I could make a game in one year. It took three times as long, but it was definitely worth it, and the process was really satisfying!”
When you watch the videos of his work over the past year you can’t help but be impressed with what he’s managed to achieve on his own and this is one reason why we think Banished should be on your radar this year.
