Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on PC is not forgotten, Kojima shares a pic

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

PC version confirmed to have shadows.

Remember back in June when Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was getting a PC version “soon”? There was a press release about it and everything. The Kojima Productions/Platinum Games collaboration came out on consoles back in February, but we’re still waiting to see when the PC one will pop up.

Well, it still doesn’t have a release date or anything, but it does have further confirmation that it still exists. Which is something. Hideo Kojima shared an image of the PC version through twitter, commenting that “even the shadow looks beautiful.” Quite right too. The PC has long been the home of superior shadows. Judging by Google News’ timestamps, Siliconera noticed this flagrant act of tweeting first.

Prior details about the PC version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance have stated that the game will run at 60fps on most modern machines (whatever you interpret that to mean,) and we can probably expect some higher resolution options too. The wait isn’t over, but it may finally be shortening.
