Microsoft back GAMEfest

Earlier this year, retailer GAME announced they would be launching their own gaming event called GAMEfest and today they revealed their first major sponsor.
Set to run between 16-18 September at the Birmingham NEC, GAMEfest is now going to be backed by Microsoft. Not only will Microsoft be on the show floor but their branding will be plastered everywhere as the headline sponsor.
The backing of Microsoft is great news for GAME and also good news for punters heading to GAMEfest as Gears of War 3 will be playable before it’s released here in the UK.
GAME UK marketing director Anna-Marie Mason was delighted with Microsoft’s backing.
“It is fantastic news that Microsoft has agreed to partner with us and be one of our headline sponsor GAMEfest. We have an incredible relationship with Microsoft and I know that our customers will be looking forward to see what they do at the event.”
It’s great to see another event come out of London which with any luck will make it easier for those from further up north attend.
