Minecraft gets its own convention

Minecon to open its doors in Las Vegas later this year.
If you happen to be in Sin City on 18 and/or 19 November then you might want to make some time to visit Minecon. Minecraft creator Markus Persson announced the event to PC Gamer.
“For me, MineCon is about celebrating the full release of Minecraft,” said Persson. “I’m really looking forward to getting up on stage and pushing the button to upload the final build.”
Minecraft is not the only game to get its own convention. The first Call of Duty XP convention is due take place in Los Angeles this year and the likes of Blizzcon and Quakecon have been running for what seems like forever.
