New Path of Exile class revealed before beta weekend

Grinding Gear Games has announced the latest character class for their ARPG Path of Exile.
The new class, called the Shadow, is a skilled assassin who has been exiled after getting on the wrong side of a former client. A mix of dexterity and intelligence, this is hit and run class who is also skilled with traps and mines, which should make for some interesting gameplay.
Grinding Gear Games’ producer Chris Wilson says the Shadow is one of the more difficult classes to play due to his fragility. “He more than makes up for it if handled with skill. His hit-and-run style of combat makes the most of his natural Evasion and Energy Shield, and rewards strategic coordination of attacks, spells, and traps.”
Gamers will get the first chance to check out the new class this weekend when the second open beta test launches. The test will start at 5pm PDT on Friday, May 11 and access will end at 11:59pm PDT Sunday night, May 13.
