No try-before-you-buy for Max Payne 3

Rockstar has confirmed that it has “no plans” to release a demo of Max Payne 3, so if you’re on the fence about buying it you’ll have to wait until one of your friends caves in and then pester them for a go.
Or, of course, you could rely on esteemed publications such as ourselves and our impressions of the game so far; such as in this multiplayer preview piece. Videos, like the one below, might help a little bit too.
Still, it’s a bit of an annoyance for anybody who wanted to try-before-they-buy. The lack of any demo plans was confirmed by Rockstar over twitter.
Max Payne 3 is due for release in mid-May for Xbox 360 and PS3, while the PC will not see it until the end of that month.
