Oliver twins bring back Dizzy with Kickstarter for Dizzy: Returns

Philip and Andrew Oliver, the creators of the classic Dizzy series which was released in the 1980’s and is seen as a real classic, are back with a reboot of the platformer.

A Kickstarter is now up and running for Dizzy Returns which will see the egg shaped character return on the PC and iOS. The game is being developed by the Oliver’s Blitz Game Studios and promises platforming challenges, a colourful world, and well everything you would expect to see in a new Dizzy title.

The new game returns to the Dizzy universe where players will find out what happened to his world and how the characters have changed since we last saw them on our screens.

The team will also be bringing new locations, physics based puzzles, new characters and full 3D characters to bring the Dizzy series up to modern standards. There will also be an 8-bit retro mode with a classic difficulty level for those wanting a taste of the classic Dizzy experience.

There’s not doubt Dizzy was hugely popular as a videogame character, so if you want to support the new game’s development, then head to the Kickstarter page and throw them some cash. Blitz Games are looking to raise £350,000 with 27 days to go.
