Grinding Gear Games are almost ready to reveal the first major content update for their ARPG Path of Exile.
All the reveal fun will get underway later this month and they’ll be working on the update right up to release. GGG are yet to announce the actual name of the “mini-expansion”, that will happen on 13 February, but we do know that it will take the game to version 1.1.0. On 20 February there will be new shots released and more information on the new features will accompany those.
Over the rest of the month information will start appearing on the new content and a new gameplay trailer is expected to be released on 28 February along with full information on the content.
A quick reminder to anyone who has not been following the game closely since it launched, this update is the first major update for Path of Exile and GGG has already stated that it will not contain Act IV. That’s not to say there won’t be new areas to explore in the current three acts.
We’ll keep you posted on updates as they happen and we’ll probably catch up with CEO Chris Wilson at some point in the weeks ahead.
