Pirates Of The Caribbean Prequel On The Way

Disney has announced a new Pirates of the Caribbean game, set before the events of the films. Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned is being touted as an “action RPG” affair in which players take on the role of a pirate and then embark on adventures within the game’s open-world setting.Morality will apparently play a role in the game, and your character will be faced with numerous moral choice which will affect the progression of the story. Players will have to contend with human enemies, mythical creatures and Mother Nature on the course of their adventure and supernatural elements in keeping with the film will also be present. The game is being developed by Propaganda Games, the team behind the recent Turok game. “Armada of the Damned is a dynamic action role-playing game that captures all of the franchise’s excitement, unpredictability and action while delving into narrative elements never before explored within this unique universe,” said Propaganda’s Dan Tudge.“Our team’s collective experience with industry-leading RPGs and action titles provides a strong foundation for us to create and build a compelling action role-playing title.”The game is scheduled for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in Autumn 2010.
