The game is being described as a spiritual successor to Police Quest but this time with real-time 3D environments, a new first person perspective and a story that’s based on real polices cases.

“Like the original Police Quest series, Precinct let’s people see what it’s really like to be a police officer,” said Jim Walls, CEO of Jim Walls Reloaded, Inc. “With today’s development tools and technology, I can finally deliver the type of experience that I’ve always wanted to. I want Precinct to rekindle the feeling of classic adventure games while delivering a cutting edge police adventure to a whole new generation of gamers.”

This new adventure takes place in Frazer Canyon and player’s will assume the role of Officer Maxwell Jones who will “take on the many challenges facing police officers today”. Should the game capture the realism of modern policing this could turn out to be a compelling adventure experience.

Precinct sounds intriguing but it’s going to need fan support through Kickstarter to get the game funded. The Reloaded team are a looking to raise $500,000 to the game made before it’s released in Q3 2014.
