The highly-regarded Portal 2 will be getting its second free update, next year.
After releasing the free ‘Peer Review’ update a couple of weeks back (which added new challenges and co-op levels), Valve has now announced that the game will be getting a level editor “early” next year.
It doesn’t sound as if you’ll need to be a programming genius to use this editor either, as it’s described as “an easy-to-use in-game map editor that will let users design, build and share their own single-player and co-op test chambers with the community, who will be able to view, play and vote on them with a simple click”.
Ideally, that’ll mean a lot more user-created Portal 2 stuff to mess around with. As you can see from the image above, the little test robots can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with.
