Project: Gorgon seeks $55,000 in Kickstarter funding

Have you ever come across an MMO where growing potatoes can lead to you becoming a geologist? If you answered “yes”, I suspect you’re either lying or already know about Project: Gorgon, an indie MMO project that’s been in development by Eric Heimburg (Asheron’s Call 2) and Sandra Powers (Asheron’s Call, Everquest 2).

Heimburg and Powers say they’ve been working on the MMO for around three years now, but now need additional funding in order to finish up the game. Happily, there’s this thing called Kickstarter that’s rather popular now, so the duo are looking to raise $55,000 USD for rather important aspects like art and audio.

Since the game has been in development for a while, there’s a fair amount to see on the Kickstarter page and in the pitch video (embedded below).

If you like the sound of an independently developer MMO that takes it cues from some of the older MMO titles (while still embracing design ideas from modern ones), then it could be worth a few of your precious pennies.

Seriously, potatoes to geologist. I’m not kidding.
