Red Frontier is now Starvoid [Video]

Zeal Studios’ real-time strategy Red Frontier has undergone a name-based makeover, emerging with cucumber slices on its eyes and a desire to be referred to as Starvoid from now on. The reason for this isn’t exactly clear, but perhaps the developers wanted to avoid anybody confusing their RTS for a game about the Soviet Union meeting the Wild West or something.
Anyway, while the developer diary-style video just released for the game (below) doesn’t go into the name change, it does explain the backstory to the title. Apparently, fuel for warp jumps is pretty precious stuff so major corporations fight over it wherever it’s found. Thank god that never, ever happens with oil!
Starvoid is coming to the PC later this year.
