Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad Announced

Slightly ealrier than they had wanted, Tripwire Interactive has now officially announced Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad.PCGamer in the UK and US has run an article revealing Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad as Tripwire Interactive’s new title. This caught Tripwire by surprise, the article was not due to appear until after Killing Floor. The PR team has now scrambled into action and officially announced the new shooter.The shooter sequel will be powered by the Unreal 3 Engine which Tripwire say will “deliver an unrivalled WWII experience.”

The game focuses on the Battle of Stalingrad and the surrounding operations, both German and Russian, from July 1942 to February 1943. Tripwire are also giving gamers the chance to play in a German single player campaign and the development team are looking to recreate the battle with “unrivalled accuracy and attention to detail, along with gritty, vicious combat in multi-player, co-op and solo modes.”An official website has now gone live so keep an eye on that if you;re following the game.
