Entirely made-up fact: Acrobatics troupes were very popular in pirate-y times. We can see these chaps attempting a very difficult vaulting technique, here.

It’s a day ending in the letter “y”, so obviously there’s another Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag trailer out. The game’s due out on console next week, though, so this one’s the launch trailer! Which means we might not have any more! Oh, who am I kidding? There’ll be another six for the PC version before that comes out at the end of November.

This particular trailer goes a bit Batman with Edward taking lessons on theatricality from Blackbeard, as well as talking to maidens headed to the gallows and stabbing a whole lot of people in the face and neck. Cynicism aside, it actually looks pretty good. Putting cynicism back, though, Assassin’s Creed 3 also looked good and that was a bit wank. I guess we’ll see how this fares next month.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is due out on PC on 22 November. That’s my birthday, by the way. I expect presents.

Also: is it just me, or does Edward look like a bit like a heavily tanned Axl Rose? Ew.
