Kalypso are set to join the historical strategy club with a new game called Rise of Venice which they plan to release some time in Q3 this year.

Set in Renaissance Europe, players will be tasked with creating a trading empire. Starting with a few vessels players will need to expand their fleet and dominate the region taking on pirates and political enemies around the Mediterranean Sea. Clever tactics in sea battles and diplomacy will ensure you succeed in creating a vast fleet and production facilities.
The game will also come with a multiplayer mode for up to 4 players over LAN or Internet.
