Roper On Champions Online Open Beta Launch Issues

Cryptic has issued a statement to clarify issues testers have been having since the beta launch of Champions Online. An MMO launch is never easy, whether it be release or beta,  and following the launch of the open beta for Champions Online earlier today, Cryptic’s Bill Roper issued a statement highlighting and explaining  the issues players have been experiencing when trying to patch and install the game. The problems appear to have arisen when the servers got flooded with testers and the patcher information page failed to load causing some confusion about what was being patched an how loing it would take. The good news is that Cryptic has released a new download which should address this issue as well as an interim patcher.Pull on that spandex suit and take Champions for a spin while the Beta is on-going, and read the IncGamers preview if you want to know more.
