Scarygirl revealed by Square Enix

Square Enix has revealed that a game based on Nathan Jurevicius’ Scarygirl comic (or graphic novel, if you prefer) will be released for Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC later this month. Based on the trailer (below), it’ll be an action-platform type affair in the somewhat bizarre world of the comic.
Scarygirl herself is a pirate-attired young lady with a tentacle for an arm, who has dreams of a strange man. It sounds so close to my own childhood it’s just uncanny. Anyway, she also has a couple of pals by the names of Bunniguru (the mystical, kung-fu rabbit, obviously) and Blister (the giant octopus). All in all, it’s sounding like an expanded version of the free flash game from 2009, which you can play here.
The new version will appear on Xbox Live on 18 January (in the US), on PSN on 24 January and on the PC in “early 2012”, developed by TikGames.
