Harebrained Schemes’ expansion to Shadowrun Returns, titled Shadowrun: Dragonfall, launches today on Steam and GOG.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall offers an entirely new campaign that takes place in the Free City of Berlin. You and your team of shadowrunners find yourselves caught up in a conspiracy that may have something to do with rumours that Feuerschwinge, a great dragon that caused a huge amount of destruction, might not be dead.

The campaign is estimated to last 12 hours, and will apparently offer a hub location; a choice of missions to accept; a load of new weapons, characters, and enemies; and – obviously – a new story. This sounds rather like what we heard about Shadowrun Returns, but I’m hopeful that they’ve taken the community feedback on board and built more of an open RPG this time around. If so, this might be rather special.

According to Steam, it’ll be out in the UK in five hours. It may already be out in other regions (I don’t know; I don’t live in other regions) but, regardless, it’ll be priced at around $14.99/£11.99. Oh, and take note that you’ll need Shadowrun Returns in order to play Dragonfall.
