Splinter Cell And G.I Joe – Same Writer

We may see a Splinter Cell movie yet…

The Splinter Cell movie currently owned by Dreamworks was written by Stuart Beattie, known for working on G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Pirates of the Caribbean, Australia, Collateral and the upcoming Gears of War film.

Split-Screen reports that the movie script is not written by the anticipated J.T. Perry, but rather Beattie, who has some big projects to boast.

The script might not be that impressive, but it’s not really something to judge a future film by.

Paramount Pictures were the first owners of the Splinter Cell movie IP which put on hold after transferring over to Dreamworks and then Viacom, Paramount’s parent company, purchased Dreamworks, making it all quite complicated.

Split-Screen has posted a copy of the script if you would like to read it.
