Chris Roberts posted his message of thanks to all backers of the project and also revealed their plans if the reach $22 million. According to Chris they have been researching ways to capture images of real heads to import them into the game. This means game characters will appear more realistic and it also sounds like they’ll be capturing mug shots of fans too. More on the tech behind this can be found on the Infinite Realities website.

Anyone who backed the game may be a little concerned about feature creep, but when do Cloud Imperium stop adding more features when the money keeps flooding in?

Roberts explains that there are two categories, features they wanted to add that were initially too expensive and features such as the facial capture which they say will “make the game better!. With development set to continue for some time, the devs will be releasing content piece by piece and not all content will go live at the same time.

The hangar module development is also still on-going and they are asking the community what they would like to see next in the hangar, whether it be more rooms, decorations or augmentations. What I would like to see in the hangar are doors that open and let me fly out, but that may be jumping the gun.

If you did back the game, you’ll also have access to a fish tank decoration for your hangar when its patched in. To start your aquarium there will be a rare gold Midas fish which was  found on the planet Cassel in the Goss System. Once players start exploring out in the depths of space, more fish can be added to the tank as they’re discovered.

I wonder if you have to feed them and will there be a fish food microtransaction?
