The monthly Star Citizen update from all the development teams outlines their plans for the weeks ahead.
In the regular lengthy monthly update from each of the Star Citizen development teams they discuss their current progress on with Arena Commander as they head toward a v1.o release.
Release 13, or v0.9 if you prefer, will see “larger features” added to the game and they are looking to get more players added to the Arena Commander multiplayer. They say they ar emaking “great headway” with backend and matchmaking issues which have been caused by the volume of traffic.
The “larger features” they are working on include in-game custom key binding, improvements to the flight model, additional ships, the HUD and other features which remain a “surprise”.
Erin Robert’s team at Foundry 42 who are handling the single player Squadron 42 have also been chipping in with Arena Commander working on bug fixing and balancing. They have also been working on Multi-crewed Vehicles and the Capital Ships which are “starting to look great”. This month they are continuing work on Arena Commander with the ranking boards, game modes and more bug fixes.
Development sounds like its chugging along at a reasonable pace so let’s hope they can finally nail down all the Arena Commander features and get v1.0 out sooner rather than later.
