Unlike the Collector’s and Digital Deluxe Editions we covered recently, the Gold edition contains a limited edition STO t-shirt, a detailed map of the Alpha Quadrant and an exclusive five-piece artwork set. Purchasers also receive a DLC code to access the Deep Space Nine uniform set and 30 days of free play. Take a look at the contents below.

If fans take advantage of the pre-order facility at participating retailers during January, they will be entitled to even more extras such as additional DLC, free microtransaction points and access to the three-day headstart programme ahead of the worldwide, 2nd February launch.

We’re trying out STO’s beta right now, and our preview will be going up on Christmas Day. Be sure to take time out from eating turkey and stuffing to give it a read. If you need another reason to tear yourself away from the festivities for a few minutes, Christmas Day will also be the start of our STO beta key giveaway. What more reason could you need?
