Star Trek Online’s Server Capacity Increased Today

Cryptic Studios has implemented the fix that will allow more players to log into its recently released MMO, Star Trek Online.

Last week it appeared that the servers were struggling with the number of players trying to log on at peak times, with players reporting queues of an hour or more. Cryptic told fans that it would roll out a fix this weekend, and it has now taken place following a two hour downtime period.

The timing of the maintenance period was cause for some complaint by European and Oceanic players, as the servers were down from 11:00 until 13:00 GMT – right in the middle of a Sunday for those of us in the UK, and mid evening for Australian players. But you can’t please everyone, right?
