Star Wars: The Old Republic could slip to 2012

EA are keeping a tight lid on the release date of Star Wars: The Old Republic, which yesterday disappeared from the publisher’s release schedule.
Originally touted for spring 2011, other reports have hinted at the MMO appearing in September.
As we know, testing is underway (as there’s been a call for more EU players to sign up) and multiple previews are being published this week – suggesting that the title is at least quite far along in development.

Indeed, this may all just be mind games and subterfuge. EA Games’ Frank Gibeau has told MVC that the company is holding back on a concrete date because “we don’t want to tip off the competition.”
However, EA has also admitted that a January 2012 release is a possibility.
