The hot news from the world of Star Wars: The Old Republic is that the digital expansion Rise of the Hutt Cartel will be released on 14 April.

Gamers who pre-ordered the game before 7 January will get early access to the game on 9 April so they can gloat on the servers when their buddies arrive a few days later. At the same time as the expansion, the Game Update 2.0: Scum and Villainy will also be pushed live adding level 55 content and more.

If the idea of a new planet gets your lightsabres twitching, there’s a ” making of” video on the official site which focuses on the conflict on Makeb.

Pre-orders for the new expansion can be purchased now and come with the Makrin Seedling Mini-Pet, the Dr. Oggurobb Hutt Holostatue, and a unique title, “Scourge of the Hutts”.
