Just before the Christmas break hits, Blizzard has announced an expansion to the on-going StarCraft 2 Beta test.
Anybody who has pre-purchased the expansion digitally on Battle.net on or before December 18 is now granted access to the beta for the strategy sequel.
If you pre-order from today you will be added to the beta eventually as Blizzard plan on granting Beta access to new players in weekly waves.
Heart of the Swarm will be released on 12 March 2013.
