Steam Winter Sale Day 5 – The IncGamers Picks

Borderlands 2 (5)

Looks like the right part of town to pick up cheap games.

If you’ve been watching Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition in the Steam Winter Sale and waiting for a price drop, today is when you should take the plunge. It’s 75% off  [Update] This was apparently some kind of pricing error, because it’s only 50% off now. If you got it while it was $15.00, lucky you!

Otherwise, today is a day of fairly recent releases getting decent discounts. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is already half off ($30.00,) despite only being a few months old. Same goes for Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs at $10.00. You can also experience the joys of sandbox military sims with Arma III at $36.00 (down from the usual $60.00.) Though be aware that the single player campaign for that isn’t fully released yet.

If you have spare change in your Steam wallet, Trine 2: The Complete Story would be a fine way to spend it. The platformer is $2.00 today.

As is (for the next seven hours and forty minutes or so,) Brutal Legend in the Flash deals. The PC version of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is in that section too ($10.00) if you fancy giving that a whirl.

Usual Tip: If a game you specifically want is not in a Daily or Flash deal yet, you should hold off to see if it is. You don’t lose anything by waiting until the final day of the sale to pick something up at the sale-long discount price.

Win Games: Over here, IncGamers is running a Steam sale giveaway. You could win something nice for yourself as a Christmas present.

Same here, it was on sale for 75% off and now it is 50% off. Changed while it was in the cart. I was waiting to see if a friend would be able to purchase it as well. They decided they could for $15 and now…not happening.
