Paradox’ strategy space epic Stellaris will be launching on 9 May and pre-orders a now being taken.
There are several versions of the game available for pre-order. The Standard Edition costs $39.99. The Nova Edition, which comes with the game and a 140-minute digital soundtrack, exclusive cosmetic DLC and more costs $49.99. Finally, there’s the Galaxy Edition which includes everything in the Nova plus a Digital Collector’s Book detailing the art and design, and a novel Stellaris: Infinite Frontiers eBook, and signed digital wallpaper for $69.99.
In a strange pre-order stunt, all pre-order customers will have their names added to a USB stick and sent into lower space by Paradox on a weather balloon. Pre-orders will also receive the cosmetic Creatures of the Void DLC which includes five new alien designs chosen by the community. These races are the Hydra/Xenomorph, Evil Porcupine, Dinosaur Bird, Shadowy Anthropoid, and Fungoid Infected Mammalian.
