Tanks for that: War Thunder screens show off ground forces

War Thunder - 3

Two fish in a tank. One says to the other… no, hang on; that joke doesn’t work if there’s a picture involved.

In honour of the 70 year anniversary of the Battle of Prokhorovka, War Thunder developers Gaijin Games unleashed some screens of the tanks that took part in the battle. In honour of the 70-year-and-three-days anniversary of the Battle of Prokhorovka, we’ve posted them up.

War Thunder is an upcoming military action title which is currently in open beta and currently focusing on aerial combat, but with tanks and fleets forthcoming. To that end, these shots are showing off the sort of things you can expect from the ground combat.

Apparently, the tanks here include the T-34 (well, the 1941 modification with a welded turret), the Pz.KpfW.III.Ausf.L (or at least its 1942 modification, obviously), and the infamous Pz.KpfW.VI Ausf.H1 Tiger I.

I understand “Tiger I”, and I think Pz.KpfW means “Panzer Kampfwagen”, but that’s about the limit of my in-depth armoured vehicle knowledge. Check out the screens below.
