Tex Murphy needs money for a new case

Unlike Philip Marlowe, who seems happy enough to wander through most of The Long Goodbye with an unspent $5,000 USD bill in his pocket, Tex Murphy is a private eye who requires some serious funding. Tex Murphy: Project Fedora is aiming to bring back the future noir detective and some-time puzzle solver, and it needs $450,000 USD to do it.
As with the previous Tex Murphy titles, this one promises to deliver “sci-fi, film noir, witty dialogue, great characters, beautifully integrated FMV, and a deep, engaging story”. Yes, FMV! Finally, it is your time to shine.
The original duo of Chris Jones and Aaron Conners will be working on this, so there’s no need to worry about some new guys messing the story up.
You can find the Kickstarter link (with the usual tiered pledge incentives) below, along with a pitch video in which Tex gets himself stuck inside an Edward Hopper painting with some dead celebrities.
