The Exorcist and Wonder Woman join Skyrim cast

Bethesda have today released a key-cast list for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Included in the list is Academy Award Nominee Max von Sydow of The Exorcist, Minority Report and Shutter Island fame. von Sydow always played the big bad guy in Rush Hour 3… great film. Doesn’t matter what you say, great film.
The Exorcist himself will play the role of Esbem, describe by Bethesda as:
“a chronicler and agent of the Blades who has survived in hiding. Long obsessed with the foretold return of the dragon Alduin, the World Eater, Esbern will teach you how to confront this epic evil.”
Rounding out the top billed cast is Christopher Plummer (The Insider, The Girl with the Dragon Tatto, Up) and Joan Allen (The Bourne Ultimatum, Face/Off, The Contender).
Plummer will play Arngeir, a powerful Greybeard elder, and Allen takes the role of Delphine, one of the last remaining members of the Blades.”
It’s perhaps the less-well known cast that is the most exciting (at least, if you’re a geek like me).
Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman in the 1975 movie (and also appearred in the brilliant Sky High) returns to the series after a successful performance in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Carter joins Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica), Vladimir Kulich (The 13th Warrior), Claudia Christian (Babylon 5) and Diana Louise Salinger (Carnivale) in a sci-fi nerds wet dream come true.
“It’s been incredible to have all these actors together,” said Todd Howard, Skyrim’s game director. “When you start a project, you always make your wish-list of actors, and to actually hear them in the game, it’s amazing. We can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”
Skyrim is due for a worldwide launch on 11 November for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
